Every tyre carries its own record with mileage, year of manufacture and load rating, plus the history of the vehicle it worked on. The system logs the activities and events tied to a tyre, tracks where it is, and keeps its cost record, while wear analysis shows which tyres go down faster than they should. The data collected here makes operating-cost settlement across the rest of the system more precise, so cost per kilometre stops being an estimate.

Both work on the same tyres: replacement activities are logged by fleet maintenance, and tread-depth measurements reach the system from the vehicle handover inspection.
