A certified e-TOLL device, either OBU or ZSL, charges Poland's toll road sections from the vehicle's actual satellite position, and the same platform automates SENT GEO reporting to PUESC. No manual toll admin, no driver fiddling with apps.
Two devices cover the e-TOLL system.
e-TOLL replaced viaTOLL, which was switched off on 30 September 2021. The system runs on satellite positioning: the vehicle's position is transmitted in real time and matched against the toll rates for each road section, so charges reflect where the vehicle actually drove. Tolling is mandatory for motor vehicles and vehicle combinations above 3.5 t GVW, and for buses regardless of weight. frameLOGIC supplies e-TOLL devices approved by Poland's Ministry of Finance: either a self-install OBU or a permanently fitted ZSL unit.

Which vehicles does the e-TOLL system cover?
e-TOLL is mandatory for motor vehicles and vehicle combinations with a gross vehicle weight above 3.5 tonnes, and for buses regardless of their gross vehicle weight.

What happened to viaTOLL?
viaTOLL was switched off on 30 September 2021 and the e-TOLL system replaced it. Instead of gantries, e-TOLL uses satellite positioning: the toll is calculated from the actual GPS position reported by the device in the vehicle. Details sit with the operator at etoll.gov.pl.

OBU or ZSL: which device should we choose?
The OBU is the low-friction option: connect two wires to the vehicle battery terminals and it runs, no traditional installation needed. The ZSL is permanently installed and wired into the vehicle, and we provide professional fitting for that variant. Both are approved by the Ministry of Finance, and the right choice depends on how permanent you want the setup to be.

Does the driver have to remember to start the SENT GEO app?
No. When the declaration is handled from the platform, position data comes from the in-vehicle unit rather than from a phone running the SENT GEO app. The driver no longer has to remember to switch it on and off. The system keeps the connection to the e-Przewóz platform, and if positions stop arriving, both the driver terminal and the dispatcher are notified at once. The same positions feed GPS tracking and compliance reporting, so SENT is not a separate data flow.

Do we need to run frameLOGIC telematics to order devices?
No. The e-TOLL devices work independently of our telematics hardware, so you do not need to be an existing customer. We handle orders for fleets of 5 vehicles and up.
